The article analyzes theoretical and practical aspects of imitational modeling of the process of sugar beets selection, which allow to create more accurate mathematical models for solving specific selection-genetic problem.

The pattern of organizing the selection process with the use of data analysis modules on the basis of neuron networks and methods of fuzzy logic is suggested. Fuzzy logic systems take into account the effect of agricultural and ecological factors and meteorological conditions on biological material and predict not only the best breeding combinations but also their geographic and territorial location depending on the climatic potential of the test points and other critical factors.

It has been established that imitational modeling allows to concentrate material and technical resources on solving the problems of reproduction and multiplication of the best hybrid combinations, actually, obtaining seeds of sugar beet hybrids in sufficient amounts for their commercial realization.
