In improving the efficiency of using automotive equipment, it is of great importance to improve the planning and management of its maintenance and repair on the basis of modern technical means. This is ensured by the application of technical diagnosis of machines as an informational basis for the control system of maintenance and repair processes.

The practice of using diagnostic tools testifies to the possibility of reducing operating costs. This is achieved by increasing the actual resource used, reducing the number of repairs and saving spare parts.

As is known, the most important indicator of reliability is the absence of failures during the operation of the technical system. Due to early detection of defects and malfunctions, technical diagnostics can eliminate such failures in the course of maintenance, which increases the reliability and efficiency of operation, and also enables the technical systems to be operated according to their condition.

The article presents the urgency of technical diagnostics in the system of technical exploitation of cars in agriculture. The scheme of components of the system of technical diagnosing of cars in agriculture was developed and its characteristic was carried out.
