CURRENT STATUS AND PROSPECTS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON THE TRANSITION OF DIESEL ENGINES TO BIODIESEL FUEL

The relevance of the theme of manufacturing and use of biodiesel fuel is noted. The state of the oil product market in Ukraine today and the factors that influence it today, the preconditions that have led to the current situation of the market and the emergence of problems with the agricultural producer. One way to solve the problem of deficiency and the constant increase in the cost of fuel, namely the use of alternative fuels, is proposed. The world status and trends of the manufacture and use of biodiesel fuel, including in the EU countries compared to Ukraine, are considered. There has been a tendency to increase production and consumption of biodiesel fuel over the last five years in the countries of the world and the European Union, although in Ukraine the production and consumption of biodiesel has been identified. The main question is formulated - why no biodiesel fuel is produced in Ukraine and the main factors needed to start production and use of biodiesel are considered. The current state and prospects of research of diesel work on alternative fuel are considered. The main institutions of higher education of Ukraine by regions (eastern, central, southern, western and northern), as well as their scientific and pedagogical workers, who conduct fundamental research on the subject of production and use of biodiesel fuel are noted. The main areas of research have been identified, which are promising for the search for alternative fuels, depending on the type and design features of diesel engines. The concept of a three -time test of alternative fuel is proposed, which is proposed to be used at the initial stage of introduction of biodiesel fuel production in Ukraine.
